Hello everyone. It is James from the Visual Impairment Team in Devon.

In this video I am going to demonstrate keyboard shortcuts that relate to email actions within your Outlook.com account

I will start with some technical information. In this video I will be using Microsoft Edge on a Windows 10 laptop.

I have already made 3 different videos about keyboard shortcuts and Outlook.com and there will be a link to those videos at the end of this video.

Email actions are about managing your emails.

And there are 11 actions that I want to demonstrate keyboard shortcuts for.

To delete an email, just press the delete key.

To archive an email, which is a way to keep an email but just remove it from the inbox, press the letter E.

To mark an email as junk, press the J key.

To create a new folder or location in Outlook.com, press the SHIFT and the E key.

To move to an email to another folder, press the V key.

To mark an email as read press the Q key.

To mark an email as unread, press the U key.

To flag an email, which is to mark it as important, press the INSERT key.

To open the next email in your inbox or other location, press the CTRL key and the . key

To open the previous email in your inbox or other location, press the CTRL key and the , key

To search your emails, press the / key.

And that is it!

11 keyboard shortcuts that you may need to manage your emails in Outlook.com.
